There are some systematic steps required before buying used cars, which are required to attend before stepping towards the ladder of buying.

1 Create your budget

The first and important thing to see is the budget. Check your credit situation and make a safer budget for the car buying. Remember, the ideal essential for buying is to keep 6 months rent and expenses aside, before creating a budget. Also consider the Insurance and Fuel charges which are bound to occur later on.

2 Shop the prices

Don’t hurry up in buying the car, as there will be a scope for the shopping in the rates of the car. Used cars for sale by owner having the scope for the bargain price and henceforth, the rates should be checked twice with other dealers and also should ask for the bottom price of the selected car. Recession has affected the automobile sector the worst in 30 years and people are waiting for a deal. Even the giants are offering huge discounts in the car selling, why shouldn’t you ask for?

3 Check the documents

All the documents should be checked thoroughly, as there are great chances of theft car or the legally prohibited for the selling cars, with the used car. Even the history report and the repairing reports should be checked twice to make sure that after buying the car, you don’t need to face any legal steps. Also the documents will show the accident report which will make you aware that the car has no amount balance payable for any accident suits or legal procedures.

4 Have a check with the Mechanic

In the used cars, the outer look is least important than the inner composition. The engines and also the parts should

be checked with a great care because some times, the repairing expenses load you more than the actual buying rates. Have a check with the Mechanic whom you have faith in and also replace the parts in advance to avoid later headache on the car.

These are the few steps suggested for the buying of a used car and they are really more important to follow before making any deal. It’s better to be smarter than to be just a buyer. Be a smart buyer and follow all the given steps fulfilled before making a deal of the used car.

  • Jan 22, 2009
  • Post a comment

For recent years one of the most interesting trends so far in the auto industry has been the spread of performance branding wherein manufacturers offer sports oriented versions of some or all of their product lines.

This new marketing concept has become one of the most appealing aspects of modern automobile promotion which can take many forms and cover a wide array of price levels. At the top of the market are vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz car range, which includes everything from the small C-Class to variants on the SL sports model and even up to the full-size SUV car ranges.

To match Mercedes AMG range, BMW car has launched its M-cars which are performance upgrades of models like the 3-Series and 5-Series. Volkswagen not be lag behind has also launched its Audi with an “S” prefix to denote a model that offer something special under the hood and in the suspension department.

The North American manufacturers haven’t been sleeping around either as a matter of fact Cadillac has its “V” models while Chrysler-Dodge has created SRT versions of every products that it has starting from small sedans to its pickup trucks.

Mazda cars have done Mazdaspeed versions of four of its models namely the rotary-engined RX-8 sports coupe, the MX-5 sports roadster, the Mazda3 hatchback, and the Mazda6 four-door sports sedan. Mazda differs from most of its performance version rivals by offering added upgrades individually rather than as part of a full package like Mercedes AMG or BMW M-cars. This means that Mazda customers can upgrade their vehicles without necessarily having to spend a fortune by simple buying performance kits which cost less and yet significantly improves the performance of the car.

The Mazdaspeed program is comprised of various elements of which some are more or less for vehicle cosmetics like for instance the alloy wheels, carbon wheel center caps, and the carbon fiber appliqué panels for the C-pillars on some models. Mazdaspeed strated as a racing division and grown into a division aimed at offering something to exciting to grab the attention of street enthusiasts.

Small Car Revolution

  • Dec 23, 2008

Small car revolution is about to hit the Indian car industry. The new and sparkling age of small cars has fortunately positioned India as a global leader.

Economic growth in the country is also set to usher the sparkling age as most of the Indian car manufacturers are embracing the era with the launch and announcement of small, affordable, fuel-efficient, and low-cost cars. The increasing demand of such cars is attributed to the desire and need of smaller and ultra-cheap cars with respect to the rising inflation, congested city conditions, and high fuel emissions.

Remember the old golden days when Maruti Suzuki 800, the smallest car on Indian roads, was the only car listed under small car. Though the car is still found zipped on roads, it has lost its dominance with the entry of new cars adorned with advanced and innovative technology.

Keeping pace with the advancing technology, car manufacturers later introduced many new small cars in the country. Some of the biggest hit among those are Hyundai Santro Xing, Hyundai i10, Maruti Suzuki Alto, Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet Aveo, and the electric car Reva Maini. Though these small cars are not as small as the old warehouse, Maruti 800, they have been successful in winning people’s heart with their compact dimension and improved fuel efficiency.

With the advent of this new era, most of the global car manufacturers are targeting India for the production of small cars. The shift towards India is attributed to large market for small cars as well as a major hub for design and production. The country has become a center of gravity with more and more car manufacturers are making a bright move towards the Indian platform.

Apart from the proposed Tata Nano, many other car manufacturers like Honda Seil India, Hyundai cars, General Motors, Nissan cars, Ford cars, and Bajaj-Renault also have their small cars in pipeline. All these small cars will soon roll out on Indian roads, zipping them on the congested city roads.

In time, India is likely to lead the small car market and become a hub for small car production. The small-car focus has an incredible potential to reduce country’s trade deficit and promote fuel-efficient cars.

Put More Miles Into your Car With the Porsche

Porsche is one of the world's biggest car manufacturers---hands down. But the debate enters when one says that a Porsche is the best car in the world. Of course fans of other brands would argue, claiming that their cars are the best. But none compares to the milestones that Porsche embedded on the road.

Since its early beginning, the would-be famous father of cars Ferdinand Porsche created remarkable firsts in the car industry, and in the world. It was in the 1900's when he created the Lohner-Porsche electric car at the World Fair in Paris. The wheel hub engines of the young engineer brought him international attention. Within the same year, he had created the world's first-ever hybrid petrol/electric vehicle, at the same time developing all-wheel drive race cars. At this rate, Porsche has made a remarkable advancement for its name. Soon after, Porsche began to create ingenious Grand Prix race cars and different variations of different, innovative sports cars.

One of the important processes that takes place in a car is the process of the cooling system. Chemical energy has to be turned into mechanical power, and Porsche understands that. Most of the energy in the gasoline is converted into heat, so therefore, it is the important task of the cooling system to take care of that heat. No worries about a Porsche overheating, when it careens down the freeway all the driver has to think about is the road-and how lucky he is to be in a Porsche. One major factor that contributes to this are the Porsche Radiators.

The Porsche Radiators is a heat exchanging device designed to transfer heat from the hot coolant that runs through it to the air and blown through it by the cooling fan. As the car moves, the radiator’s façade is also cooled by the outside air coming from the grille. Sometimes, a collapsed lower radiator hose or a defective radiator cap causes overheating. So it is very important that when doing a radiator maintenance, also check the two radiator components. A simple preventive maintenance does a lot for the Porsche Radiators to fulfill its task flawlessly. Having the Porsche Radiators flushed periodically as well as having the components of a car's cooling system changed when one part needs replacing can help a lot in ensuring the car's peak-level performance. The Porsche radiators are indeed made only by the best and finest material from the world's finest car maker.

Large Vehicles Fails Crash Tests

  • Dec 4, 2008
  • Post a comment

In an effort to provide auto buyers with safe cars, safety institutes are providing auto buyers with recommendations which are the results of crash tests. While car manufacturers are concerned about the safety of their consumers, there are still vehicles which are not as safe as some.

Recently, it was found out that head restraints of several SUVs, pickup trucks and minivans are not able to provide adequate protection. The finding is that on rear collisions, head restraints of some large vehicles provide poor or marginal protection. Head restraints are supposed to protect passengers from neck injury in the unfortunate event of a rear collision.

Although there are several SUVs which have been given good ratings on rear collision crash protection tests, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) reported that among vehicles which have performed poorly on their crash tests includes automobiles made by BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Ford, General Motors, Nissan, and Toyota.

According to the IIHS, the crash tests were done with the vehicle with speeds of 20 miles per hour. Even at this speed, certain vehicles are not able to protect their passengers. According to the IIHS, the fact that large vehicles are not able to adequately protect its passengers leads to 2 million insurance claims which are estimated to cost the insurance industry about $8.5 billion every year.

In response to this, car manufacturers pointed out that their own safety tests are good indicators whether their head restraints can provide adequate protection.

According to the IIHS, the vehicles which performed poorly in their crash tests are the following: the BMW X3 with its BMW X3 parts and the X5 model; Buick Rainier, Chevrolet car, GMC Envoy and Isuzu Ascender; Cadillac SRX; Chrysler Pacifica; Dodge Nitro; Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer; Mitsubishi Endeavor; Hummer H3; Hyundai Tucson; Jeep Liberty; Kia Sportage; Lexus GX470 and RX; Nissan Xterra; Saab 9-7X; Suzuki XL7; Toyota 4Runner and the Highlander.

All About Used Japan Cars

  • Dec 3, 2008
  • Post a comment

There are countless number of advantages in buying used Japan cars. Most of them prefer to buy used cars because they are cheaper than new cars. However, being cheap alone doesn’t make buying a used car advantageous. There are many more reasons that makes buying used cars far better than buying new ones. Japan used cars are preferred by most people today as they are manufactured by renowned brands like Toyota car, Nissan car and Mitsubishi car.

All used Japan cars are not manufactured in Japan

Used Japan cars not only refer to the cars that are manufactured in Japan. The cars (possibly manufactured in America) driven by Japanese owners are also termed ‘Japan cars’. There is absolutely no benefit in buying such Japanese owned used cars that are not manufactured in Japan. Just keep reading on the article to find the advantages of Japan made cars over the American ones.

Buying used Japan cars directly from Japan is beneficial

The American manufacturing companies like General Motors, Chrysler and Ford were the industry leaders several months ago. However, things have changed a lot these days- These industry leaders seem to have lost the loyalty of so many Americans who now look toward other manufacturers for better value and better prices, even if it means ignoring American pride and going after imported cars instead. People are now interested in importing Japan cars manufactured by Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi. There are several reasons behind this upturn:

It's more attractive financially to obtain a car directly from Japan, even when you include the extra fees and monies you pay for shipping and taxes. It's simply cheaper to buy a car directly from Japan than it is to buy a similar car made in the U.S. Another reason behind this great demand of Used Japan cars is that Japanese drivers are careful to maintain their car cosmetically and mechanically so virtually all cars put up for sale or export will be in great condition.

Buying a Used Japan car will have all the accessories bundled

When speaking about the advantages of used Japan cars over the new ones, the first benefit blinking in our mind is the bundled accessories. Japanese cars are usually equipped with many options like air conditioning, power steering, power windows, air bags, ABS, music systems and much more. You will never have to spend an extra penny for adding stuff to your car.

Finding a used Japan car exporter

There are many used car exporters in Japan. However, while trying to buy a specific model of used Japan car (say) a used Toyota Carnia, it will be difficult to find the exporter of the same. You will have to search all the way around before you can find one. However, there are many service providers who list all the used car exporters in Japan all in one place. They gather the used car inventory information from almost all the used car exporters and list them in their website. All you have to do is to search the particular used Japan car with a few mouse clicks by relaxing in your home. With so many good reasons, there is no reason why you should not consider importing Japanese cars.
